Look through magazines. Keep a stack of woods, finishes, styles, etc. that you like and bring those with you. - Jim

Design by selecting what you love, not the latest trend or what your neighbor has. You know what you love, don’t be afraid! Don’t design for the next owner ~ make it yours! Make sure you have something special in your design that makes it unique to you. Go to the library and look through all the back issues of your favorite magazine, such as Southern Living, Better Homes & Gardens or dwell. Make copies of all your favorite designs. Your designer can help you achieve the design you want! - Jill

My suggestion to all kitchen customers is the importance of roll out trays in the base cabinets and utility cabinets. Accessibility is important when planning space. Another tool that is a must is the tray divider feature usually done with the nine inch base with full height door. With recycling a must in the green movement of today, the waste basket-recycling unit is a feature I feel is a must have too! - Lorna
